“The North West Minerals Province - where good news stories keep coming.”

7th to 9th May 2024

Mount Isa Civic Centre,
23 West St Mount Isa. Queensland Australia

The North West MPX is a combined conference and expo for the mining and resources sector, located right in the heart of the North West Minerals Province of Queensland.

Welcome to North West MPX

Building on the success of the 2023 Glencore North West MPX, the 2024 North West MPX offers an opportunity for the minds and technology of business to meet with the mining and resources sector over a two-day conference and exhibition in the heart of the North West Minerals Province of Queensland.

Featuring speakers from across the mining and resource sector, delegates will benefit from the opportunity to meet and exchange news and ideas with representatives from across the North West Minerals Province. A diverse, rich and vibrant region of Queensland, the North West Minerals Province boasts long term, highly successful mines coupled with new and exciting exploration projects. The mining of vanadium, a critical battery mineral, has added to the rich mining tapestry of traditional metals including copper, lead, zinc, gold and silver. In addition to the dynamic mining activity discussion, there will also be a spotlight on the future of energy delivery to the region and the ongoing agricultural activity of cattle farming, cotton production and other crops.

Exhibitors showcasing their products and services will benefit from opportunities to engage the mining industry through displays, simulations and discussion. The provision of a catered morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on the exhibition floor will increase the networking benefits to exhibitors by providing delegates the opportunity to seek out information and build relationships with both exhibitors and each other. Additionally, the exhibition will be open to the public on Thursday 9th May 2024 between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.

Host city Mount Isa is both the gateway to the North West Minerals Province and an outback city rich in heritage and culture, offering delegates an ideal base to explore the region’s mining and natural history, enjoy the adventures of a 4WD tour, jet skiing and fishing on Lake Moondarra or relaxing under a magnificent outback sunset.

We look forward to your participation and involvement in a successful 2024 North West MPX.

NEW to the 2024 North West MPX

2024 is the first year we'll be offering something innovative and special for our attendees and sponsors.

From February 2024 we'll be opening our North West MPX Online Networking Hub - A bonus layer of networking capabilities and opportunities, exclusive to North West MPX Sponsors and Registered attendees.

BEFORE THE EXPO

Once the Hub opens, sponsors and attendees will receive an invitation to create their profile.

Not unlike a social media platform, the hub will provide options to upload a profile photo, business details, networking statement, links and contact information.

You'll be able to see others who'll be attending as they register, so you could make travel plans with another attendee, you could touch base before the expo to let someone know you'll be there, and you'd love to meet them.

DURING THE EXPO

As sponsors and attendees arrive at the North West MPX, they'll be issued with a lanyard featuring a unique QR code which will be linked up to their profile on the hub.

So, if you meet someone at the event who you'd like to connect with for opportunities beyond the expo, simply scan their QR code with your mobile to connect in any of the ways they've put on their profile as contact options or links.

AFTER THE EXPO

To allow our sponsors and attendees to make the most out of a fantastic networking opportunity, the Networking Hub will remain open after the expo.

So if you missed someone you were hoping to meet at the expo, you still have the opportunity to connect.
