General Manager
Simon Pope is a mining professional with more than 20 years’ resources industry experience. As the General Manager – Mount Isa Mining for Glencore’s Queensland Metals, Simon oversees all aspects of the mining operations across the Mount Isa Mines assets. Simon joined Mount Isa Mines as a graduate Geologist in 2004 and has worked in a range of technical, operational and management roles throughout the Queensland Metals business.
We acknowledge the Kalkatungu People as Traditional Custodians of Mount Isa.
We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and their connections to land, sea and community.
